It’s time for a change at the Supervisor of Elections office and the most superb choice is Teresa Apgar. The Supervisor of Election for many years was much like family run business. Niece, wife and other relatives served has head of the office for nearly 100 years. After that, career politicians served as SOE. Teresa has experience in a multitude of areas that gives her the knowledge to make changes.

Teresa has dedicated her life to make Volusia County a better place to live. During her 42 years of living in Volusia County she has been an executive assistant at a start-up local bank, legal assistant, account executive, owned a marketing business and substitute teacher. She has an extensive background in assisting a variety of organizations and individuals in finding solutions for challenges they face. This has given her a wealth of experience, innovation and diversity that brings new ideas and changes to the office she is seeking. In her late 20’s she earned her A.A. at Daytona Beach Community College and B.A. at the University of Central Florida while working, raising a family and was a member of several non-profit Board of Directors. She was recognized for her leadership skills by Daytona Beach Community College by receiving the President’s Scholarship to UCF.
